Why do people continue to say that ”first day covers” are valueless? It’s a disservice to the hobby. Artcraft and Artmaster FDCs go for very little, but just about everything else has a market. And Dorothy Knapp handpainted covers sell for hundreds of dollars. It is not accurate to say that FDCs are valueless; it’s only the most common ones that you supposedly can’t sell (and I even see Artcraft and Artmaster selling on eBay for$1-2 each)...
